Is anyone worried that no-one other than us really cares about HL2? Feel they are missing out on something great and awesome? I'm not worried at all if you ask me. Not too many people know about it now, but when it comes out the average age to get a heartattack will be 16...

:afro:

:) I can care less if anyone outside of here cares about HL2, they're missing out on a great game. All I am worried about is the date.

Half-Life 2 must be the most anticipated game ever....I don't think we have to worry.

and that valve make enough money through sales to make us all a brilliant halflife 3 obviously???

Yeah i just want a date. sometime between 15th of June and 1st of September would be great. Cause i got no college then, and i could play til i drop.

as for being worried. nah am sure HL2 will be fine. Better than DX2 anyway. I was very dissapointed about that.

if not many people care about it until its out there will be a shorter line into EB so i dont care

I'm not worried at all about there not being alot of people playing HL2, it's probably one of the most, if not the most anticipated game of 2004. What I am worried about is the release date. I just want this game for the summer...

no, it is all over the world, hl2. I've seen mainstream media covering it, like big time news papers and stuff. Especially with the success CS has brought around the world, plenty know about half-lfe. Plus there is probably soon to be a big marketing and advertising campaign by vivendi to get the word out to those who may not yet know of the game. because surely there are going to be people that never played HL1 or were never allowed to but will see the game and be like "woah that looks awesome"

i realy think some of you are taking this too far.

its a game, i realy wouldnt cry or go on a hunger strike if this game was cancelled.

but then again i have better things to do that play games 24/7... like women. :naughty:

Tis indeed the most hyped and anticipated game i can ever remember. I envy those who have yet to get caught up in this community. It's addictive!

Hl1 was one of the biggest selling games ever...I'm not worried in the least about HL2 in that reguard.

People who like/loved HL1 will surely get HL2 at some point in time (most of us very soon after it's released). And then HL2 should be a very very big game and be everywhere over the world to start with simply because of how big HL1 was...so it should sell even more because of that alone.

No worries at all about that.

Its a shame more people haven't played HL, it truely is an epic gaming experience, but it always get overshadowed by the better know games like Doom3, games with well known pasts, GameStars(shitty ITV game awards show) has a "most Anticipated game" award, Doom3 along with some pants console games has been nominated, wtf? Where is half life 2? Doom3, I don't think so.

As soon as Half-life 2 comes out..those people will be beggin for it.

I am kinda dissapointed with the fact that most people that own HL, own it because of CS and havnt even played it.

Thats really annoying for someone like me (Us?) because its something we tend to celebrate daily lol...

I trust HL2 will establish a whole new fanbase though. :)

Ok guys let's burn him at the stake!!!

Gettin laid isn't all that great, I mean you have a good time for about 10 minutes and then you lose complete interest. HL2 on the other hand, and games in general, last as long as your mind can handle :)

I don't give a crap what other people think about HL2!

That is GOOD news! It means we will have a better chance of the game not being sold out!

Worried? What's there to be worried about? So what if not too many people know about it. As long as you have a great time playing it, that's all that matters, right?

lol its not that no one knows or no one cares, its cause other people aren not completely obsessed, and considering the droubt of infomation surrounding HL2, everyones just dealing with other stuff.

And frankly, aslong as i get the game, i couldnt give a toss if the entire world hated it lol.

yes women are fun.. but they don't put out all the time so you gotta play games like HL 2 to kill time till they get into the mood..

I never understand why people try to impress other people on the internet when they say things like "omg you take this too seriously" while they are on gaming forums. If you weren't interested in this game more than the average person, why are you reading these forums?

Ahh, I have been looking for a way to say that for a while. Thanks.

im just worried that if it wont hit the store this summer.... I WANT HL2 ALREADY!!!

I don't think we have to worry about this. HL2 is going to make a SHITLOAD of money.

To be honest I do want HL2 to be as popular as the first one because I would feel incredibly bad for Valve if they spend 5 years on a game and then have mediocre sales. It'd be a slap in the face. I'd like to see Steam take off, modders come up with new stuff, a large active community playing the game, etc.
I am curious about how gamers will respond to HL2.

Some sort of myth developed outside the web. I've never seen any of them, but I've heard rumours.

Same here. I'm sure that if any one of them saw what HL2 was like, they'd change there minds in a second. One of 'em said that if they had HL2, Halo 2, and Doom 3 on a table in front of them and they had to choose just one, they'd take Halo 2...what a poor lost soul.

We are just the hardcore fans, we aren't taking things too seriously. as soon as the game comes out these and other forums will flood with the more moderate players, who love the game, but just not as much as us...

Halo1 was a bit of fun, but I just feel the gameplay from Halo1 were, "Been there, done that, got the t-shirt!". Half Life1 was just that more different, and I expect the sequels to be alike the first game.

Meaning that Halo2 will be another struggle with a foreign alien race, "oh no!" And Half Life 2 to be like the first, a complete inexpected thrill of enjoyment with just a bit surprices and "wow, n1 there!" effects.

DOOM³ on the other hand, is giving me trouble to set up "Game VS. Game". You can't really compare DOOM, og DOOMII with Halo1 or Half Life1. And DOOM³ has more of a dark "Silent Hill/Resident Evil" theme.

If I could choose? Half Life 2. And save DOOM³ to the dark and cold nights of november and december when all other is high on christmas.

IMO of course

Boo, my avatar :[.

I'll change mine though, I'm getting sick of it.

I'd like to add a thought.. RIghtnow I've again isntalled medal of honor allied assault. Well this is such a great game if you look at the ai , the "realness" of the npc's and the way the allies interact with you.

If HL2 will be anything or better than MOH in that regard , added to the interactiviy of the environment and the driving story: it's going to be even more immersive and i guess that can only be good:)
