is BF2 as good as they say?

I have played Half Life 2 and San Andreas so much that each time I hear their names I vomit head up all over myself. Point in question: I need a new game.

What is BF2 like? Is it a FPS or a sandbox like San Andreas? I am no expert in matching game titles to actual gameplay, but judging by that name, BF2 sounds an awful lot to me like those stupid 2D strategy games (like Diablo) that people with refined tastes like myself simply abhor to death.

Its an excellent multiplayer fps
- great graphics
- loads of vehicles
- huge maps
- fantastic gameplay
- very few bugs at all(don't listen to the fools who will whine about the bugs)

How huge are the maps compared to San Andreas's?

Since I am on a 56k, and not much of an online game anyway, is there anything I can do with this game? No storyline whatsover? Or playing against the PC?

you can play against bots but I dont think you'll like this game all that much ...try Boiling point ...buggy as hell but fun
