ok ladies.

I play CS, and i get fps, but sometimes i drop fps when someone is runing in front of me or 6 CTs are in my view. i go from about 60lets say, to 20-30 ish fps.

the difference betwen 60 and 30 fps is ****ing huge, i can actualy see my mouse lagg like a mothger ****er.

another example, throw 4 smokes in front of you and stand in the middle,

do you see how ur fps drops down. and its all laggy when u move or try to move the mouse. this "Lagg FPS" is in the range for 0-30FPS. anything under 30 = LAGG. lets call this video lagg.

now this video lagg, is it the same in other games.

for example. doom3 is 60 fps cap. lets say im doing my shit and what not, and fps drops, it goes to 30and below, is this fps the same as in CS ? the Lagg i feel at 30 below. will there be lagg in doom3 or any toher game running at 30 fps?

how do minotors and refreshrates work in this.

ok ladies? wtf is that supposed to mean?

and if you can run d3 and then get lag when there are people infront of you in cs there must be something wrong.

the amount of 'lagg' you get is not dependant on the monitor (well... vsync, but thats not what i mean) its based on how fast your computer's hardware can calculate all the information required to display the moving images on screen.
EG, if cs goes slow, then its because the computer is having difficulty processing all the action. Its nothing to do with your monitor

Sometimes if you have even constant FPS, 30 for example, it doesn't seem like lag.
My GTA:VC was capped at 30FPS and it looked smooth as ever. Because it is constant.

Also when you get lower FPS, sometimes it can look like LAG because the action and movement in the game is quick enough were you need a higher framerate to maintain smooth movement.

Quite often when I'm playing a game that I get high FPS with drops, I will set my min FPS to the same FPS as the drops so it is constant all the time. It is much more enjoyable like that.

It's interesting how you get lag in CS with so many guys running in front of you.
How much memory do you have and what video card?

you would not survive 1 day in basic training.

as for d3d, i run ogl for CS, i get 60ish fps running, 30 in combat or even if poeple running in front of me.

if i did D3d holy cow my fps is shit, swear to god it wont go over 30.

i have a p4 1.6, 512 unmatched un even, 1 stick bigger than the other ram, cl3, 3338 i think or 7. and a AIW 9000pro, 274/270mem.

i have a lot of video lagg, dont even get me started about CZ with the new models. my fps does not go over 30.

but thats not hte problem. i got used to it if ucan fix it ied like the help.

what i really want to knwo is, if i lagg like a mofo in CS when im doing 30 fps.

is this the same lagg in doom3 or hl2 or any other game at 30 fps?

get what im saying?

30 fps is 30 fps is 30 fps man.

It's like miles per hour. A car going 30 mph isn't slower than an F-16 going 30 mph.

Mouse lag depends on the engine. I haven't played Doom III yet so I don't know how it will handle, but in terms of mouse lag, I would definitely say it's not true that 30 FPS is 30 FPS is 30 FPS.

The Radeon 9000 is not performance kit.

In HL (CS) you can lower the number of smoke puffs to reduce their effect on your card's performance.
