I havent played source in awhile because i gave up on hope that the FPS problem that came with the update with the bots would never get fixed. Im currently updating to see. But were the FPS issues ever fixed? The one that gave many people 10 FPS or less?

Actually the FPS problem seems to be getting worse since Valve keeps disabling all the commands that increase FPS. With certain console command i can get around 80-90 fps. But with them disabled i am now forced to play with 30-50 fps. It all started with r_3dsky.

i started my own game with bots today and the slowness was incredible...it was like i was playing on an american server with a 56k modem (which i have done so i know)....

Very annoying and doesnt help practice at all!

I reinstalled CS only, that did not work. Maybe if you completely remove HL2 and Steam first... But probably not. I've resorted to using DX 8.1 and lower detail.. it sucks And it doesn't make that much of a difference either.

hard to find out what causes the problem because only few ppl have this problem, maybe u should try valve's product support?
Personally I havent had any problems with my fps before or after updates, actually my fps went up after last update. Hopefully some1 knows the solution for ur prob m8... I would be very pissed off 2 not being able to play :flame: ;(

Well it has to be something with that came with the activaTION of the bots. Because thats when it happened to me and many other people. My game is a friggin slideshow now

I sometimes lay down and cry in my bed, because the twitching is so horrible and people make fun of me for sucking at scouting. Then I finger myself to make myself feel better (J/K)
Though seriously, my fps was at a nice 60-90 rate, now I am lucky to get over the normal 60 looking at a wall :-|
