is it just me or does the ak47 suck horribly now. i remember in 1.6 where if i had a bead on a guy from decent range, i would take 2 shots at hit head, or 3 at his body, and it would be all over for him. now, whenever i use the ak, i get no positive results. what happened to all the headshots from across the map. i admit this is probably for the better but oh well. and now i hit a guy in the back a few times and he turns around and kills me. i know, i havent read release notes or whatnot, but could someone tell me if they decreased its power, or if i just suck with it now.

I'm a bit of a pro with the AK now, whereas I sucked with it in 1.6 (Against bots). Rather weird, isn't it?

ive seen guys with aks who 1 shot me from miles away O_O
ive done it quite a few times..when the enemy is actually standing still XD

The Ak, and any other weapon for that matter, were not changed during the code swap from 1.6 to Source. It's weird though because sometimes they perform differently anyway.

I hated the AK in 1.6 because i was crap with it but its my default terrorist weapon now

It's wierd, for me the galil and famas were useless in cs 1.6, but in css they are great, in fact the galil is by far my favorite weapon, you spray with it and its still accurate now, it is absolutely amazing, I kill a lot easier with it then ak or m4, although m4 is still pretty good with silencer(exept the horrible sound)

Ah yes... did it? I wouldn't know, since I don't like my skill being sucked from my very life essence by using it. Devils weapon, it is.

Wow, the only time the Famas works for me is on burst fire, other than that it's like shooting rubber ducks out of a gauss cannon.
The AK and M4 are my default primary weapons, but I just deagle when I don't have enough for them.

Really dekstar, I had that famas thing in cs 1.6 and the galil, well lest say someone was afk and I was 2 meters infront of him, I still wouldn't kill him, and I still can't in cs 1.6 but in css I can easly do aim stuff. The thing with me is that I used to be good with de_eagle, but now I can't kill anything with it, and I used to be bad with glock but now I'm relativly good, better than USP, while the usp was for me the ultimate handgun in cs 1.6 and the mp5 was for me better in cs 1.6 than css, now it feels like it has more spread.
Man css is teh wierd.

Depends on it, the ak used to be better in spraying than it is now, but now the singleshot is a lot more accurate IMO.

Nope, it has not changed
The recoil pattern of the AK is still, up, then down then left then right then left again, just that its in a smaller radius, thats correct it has less recoil, so essentially its better, as for the other guns.

The FAMAS has been drastically improved.

AK sucks at spraying... I sprayed someone with a whole clip at point blank and did not kill them. AK is great for long range though... (1 shot kill headshot)There is really no use for the AK to have automatic fire, since the bullets somehow miss everything if you fire more than 2 rounds a second.

The Para owns now though, more accurate and a greater rate of fire..
