Is it posible to "server jump" in HL2

I was wondering if it was posible to server jump in Half life 2. What i mean by this is if you were on a server that has one part of a map and you can go through a portal/door to another server with the extension of the map.

There's a guy modding it in. Yahn from Valve was helping him get it work, as I remember, over on the VERC forums.

You could try just sending the "connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx" command to the client. They could then connect to that server.
