to uninstall DirectX completely and then do a reinstall?

I'm having major problems running the BF2 demo and I'm pretty sure something is screwed up with DirectX on my system. I tried downloading the latest version, but I get some sort of certification error before it is done installing. I just want to do a fresh install of DirectX. Is this possible? I can't figure out how to do it.

:S if it isnt in add/remove programs in your control panel then i think u could either delete manually, which could cause major retardation or completly reinstall windows

Tons of people are having major problems with the BF2 demo. A lot of people are getting crashes to the desktop, others have to download it 10+ times just to get it to install. I'd just read around and see if you can find anyone with a similar problem and see if they've fixed it.
