Is it worth it to get a new tablet?

Hello everyone.

I have a old rackety Graphire3 as of the moment, and I haven't had alot of motivation to get down and dirty with the art lately. I've started up again a little bit but I've come to understand why it's so much more fun to draw with a pencil than on the pc: I'm just plain better with a normal pencil than my graphire. "Easy" stuff like linework is tons harder on the pc than on paper.
The graphire3 is a6 size, which probably has something to do with the loss in quality of my work.

What I'm wondering is, would I notice any difference if I bought an Intuos3? I just got a fulltime job (my first :P ) and with the money starting to come in I wouldn't feel that guilty getting a nicer tablet...

Basically, do I get what I pay for, would it help me out if I got an Intuos3?

First of all it's quite obvious you typed your message in all caps, for I can see how it filtered it out.. But that is the least of my worries. Secondly there are numerous spelling mistakes and words like "gotta" and "u" are simply uncalled for. I can hardly understand what the sentence is saying. Even if it had proper grammar it still hardly makes any sense nor does it help the threadstarter.

So if you could tighten up your speaking skills I'm sure you'll get less complaining from me and less ugly looks.

elitism ftw

...ever thought some people don't use English as their first language? or maybe don't care enough to type everything out like it's English class?

I don't see any elitism.

Type like an idiot - treated like an idiot :farmer:

Would be nice to get som more on topic answers ... .. . :P

I didn't really catch that Joims, say again ? :)

I'll definitely have the cash to spare and I might actually be doing some sort of graphics for work later in my life/career. How much should i be prepared to spend on an Intuos3?

Any more takes?

Oh, I suck at typing on the computer. If I type this how i am right now, then i would type very slowly.

Sorry for derailing a bit there Sorze :(

And there is a difference between having English as a second language, and typing like a moron. You think they teach 'u' or 'ur' in his English class? And I'm not asking for typing like a professional. Don't be foolish. How about type like anyone else on the forum. It isn't THAT hard. I wouldn't be picking on him if it wasn't noticeable, but it is quite noticeable. To the point I have difficulty reading, as I said.

I myself have a Graphire 3. I don't really think I know enough to give a good answer to your question.

Edit: That's good Pacerzfan, forums aren't speedy like chatrooms.

I'm not trying to be mean to you, try to think of it as aggressive advice. :) Just trying to help you out. People will respect your opinion (or, in some cases, not ignore your post) if you type well.

Ever thought some people don't like to spend thier time decoding posts?

I have an Intuos3 6x8 and I love it though I havn't been using it as much as I should. I definitely like the newer models more than the Intuos2.
