I mean cmon, it's just a jump to the left and then a step to the right, put your hands on your hips and bring your knees in tight!

No, for one it's like my 2nd favourite musical ever. Secondly... It puts me in another dimension, with a voyeuristic intention. With a bit of a mind flip, I don't see how anyone can NOT enjoy this.

Rocky Horror Picture Show?

join the club. i enjoyed rocky horror picture show (surprised me). i wont hold it against you if you like anything from it

There's nothing at all wrong with liking stuff from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. It's a well written musical that's fun, somewhat seedy and the actors are all fantastic in their roles.

"In spite of (or perhaps because of) its initial luke-warm critical and commercial reception, the film developed a cult following and it began playing at midnight at the Waverly Theater in New York City. People began shouting responses to the characters' statements on the screen. These mostly include melodramatic abuse of the characters or actors, vulgar sex jokes, puns, or pop culture references. Casts of fans dress up as the characters and act out the movie in front of the screen, usually with great accuracy. Other audience participation includes dancing the Time Warp, throwing toast, water, toilet paper, hot dogs, and rice at the appropriate points in the movie (many theatres forbid throwing things that are difficult to clean up, such as confetti or buttered toast). At the defunct Key Theater in Georgetown, Washington, D.C., the theatre manager would ride his motorcycle down the aisle during Meat Loaf's/Eddie's song, "Hot Patootie." At the Tower Theater in Houston, people would celebrate Brad and Janet's wedding with 25-lb of rice. Audience members also use newspapers to cover their head and squirt guns for rain during the "There's A Light" musical sequence, and use noise makers during the scene where Rocky is unveiled. The whole phenomenon got a boost in 1980, with the release of the movie Fame, in which some characters attend a screening of RHPS at the Waverly.

... Examples of Audience Participation: While the lips are approaching at the beginning of the picture: During the wedding scene, the groom says to Brad,Hey. ... A melodrama, in the broadest sense, is a serious drama that can be distinguished from tragedy by the fact that it is open to having a happy ending. ... Actors in period costume sharing a joke whilst waiting between takes during location filming. ... A joke is a short story or short series of words spoken or communicated with the intent of being laughed at or found humorous by the listener or reader. ... A pun (also known as paronomasia) is a deliberate confusion of similar-sounding words or phrases for rhetorical effect, whether humorous or serious. ... Popular culture, or pop culture, is the vernacular (peoples) culture that prevails in a modern society. ... The Time Warp is a dance featured in the cult film The Rocky Horror Picture Show, performed during the chorus of the song of the same name. ... "
