In the current CS 1.6, the FPS you are getting affects how long it takes for your crosshair and recoil to get back to centre. For example, if you have two players (one with 50fps and one with 100fps) with AKs and they both fire 10 shots full auto then the 50fps players crosshair will take twice as long to return to centre and decent aim again. At least this is how I understand it.
Isn't that a really stupid way of doing things? Surely time based adjustments would be better all round than frame based. That way the recoil behaviour is equal for everyone no matter what FPS they are getting. If you are getting low FPS then the jerkyness of view manipulation and general gameplay is enough of a disadvantage already.
Does anyone know if CS:Source has the same stupid system? Has anyone noticed the recoil crosshairs taking longer to return to centre when they have low FPS? I really hope theyve not carried it over to Source.
