i don't know had this been post before
or any of you ppl care about this
but i would really like to know.
and yes i do use the search function to find any news about this
[mac version]...
[half life 2 for mac]...
but it come up with nothing.

I personally don't think they will. It sounds like they would have to re-write everything pretty much. And getting havok to change their engine would take a while. Also with HL2 for xbox and stuff, plus updates, addons etc. They have their handsful maintaining this "one" project.

I don't blame you for that. The search function is pretty much worthless alot of the time.

Anyway, don't hold your breath. Not only would Havok have to be ported, but HL2 uses DirectX only. Porting it to OpenGL would be troublesome to say the least.

You know... I used to have a Power Mac with a DOS card in it. It was a little PC motherboard with a 486 processor and RAM. It ran like a dream. Are those still around?

I'd say Havok is pretty much the only reason it's not gonna be ported.

uh~
thats too bad.
cause a day before i saw an "I book G4" ran warcraft 3
the performance was quiet "not bad" to me. So i think
Maybe its about time to get myself a new computer that looks good.
Now half life 2 on Mac would be nothing but a dream.
hope the dream will one day come true then.
by the time it would probably be half life 3 that i fantasize.

get a PC and hang with us folk ;)
Keep the mac for the video editing! *if you do any*

I guess you could install Gentoo (or other Mac compatible Linux distro) then buy Cedega and run HL2 on that, but it's a bit of a longshot if you don't know your way around Linux.
