Is the Sticky Launcher in the game?

I haven't finished the game yet. Just wondering if the sticky launcher is in the game? This was a weapon that was in the leaked alpha. I would love to go through the game again with that weapon when I finish it the first time.

For those of you who don't know what the sticky launcher is if it's not in the game: You could shoot a bunch of little pink blobs about the size of a baseball with the primary fire button. Once you shot all the blobs you wanted, you right click and they all blow up sequentially. The blobs did stick to things too. It was really cool when they blew up cause they would blow up one at a time but very shortly spaced apart. You could shoot a 100 ft line of blobs and when you right clicked it was like the fourth of july. That and sticking blobs to different parts of dead bodies to launch them.

i have no idea if it's possible to unlock with some sort of cheat, but i know it's not in the regular game at all.

that was part of the welder gun, and no its not.

The welder was part of the physgun. Different from the sticky launcher. The welder guns blobs didn't explode. :E

I loved the physgun and sticky launcher. I hope someone finds a way to get them in the game again soon. I need some welding and exploding action over here!

The physgun is reported to be in the full Source SDK when it comes out. So it can be easily modded in.

The sticky launcher is on the list of cheats for "give weapon_" but if you try to spawn it, it'll just give you an error.

What a coincidence. I just got the "Beta" today. I just wanted to find out what I passed up for the last year. Nothing much I guess. But man, why didn't they keep the welding. It was so cool. I welded like 6 barrels together to make and arch. I climbed on it and it flexed realistically.

The sticky launcher was really fun too. You could shoot tons of pink blobs on the buggy and watch it fly lol. Speaking of the Buggy, it had cool sounds back then too. Just by playing it today, I found so many things that they left out. Bullsquids, the OICW, etc.

The resistance fighters had really wierd dialogue. They would be like "Freeman." "Hey Freeman." "Gordon Freeman." "You know what that looks like?" "I like cheese." "This is only going to get worse." "Wow, deja vu." Lol, it was totally screwed up. But it was cool for me to see because Valve barely had a game back then. In fact, most of what's in it is from late 2002-early 2003. I saw some of the levels in the "beta" that were very incomplete (no objects, missing parts, missing textures) and now I have seen the same levels 100% done in the final version. There were some basic missions where instead of dialogue, words appeared on the screen, reminding the developers what to put there.

It's really interesting. It makes you wonder why so many things just didn't make the cut. A lot of cool ideas were scrapped.

I really wish I could get the e3 2003 maps to work, they crash the game to the desktop or just completely crash my computer. But I played the tech demo map where they used to pachinko machine. :D

Oh and has anyone noticed that there is no HDR. The Antlion guards don't have that cool reflection like they had in the HDR bink video.

Yes they do. It shows up on my computer. It's just that bright lights (like the flashlight) seem to dull the reflection, which isn't the same thing as HDR, by the way.
