Well, Ive yet to buy the game, so I dont know.. but I want to find out before I buy it. Is there an issue with lack of teamwork? Let me explain..

In most games where you can gain stuff (The example I will use, world of warcraft), in battlegrounds alot of people just run around and kill, not bother doing objectives, since killing people gains you honor, objectives dont. Now I know you gain points in battlefield for healing/repairing, giving out ammo and bringing people back to life..

But you dont gain points for transporting people, being the commader, apart from artillary strikes..

So in rank servers is there a problem with this? People just lone wolfing to get as much quick kills for points to unlock kits?

It's a mixed bag. I've been on servers where everyone just runs around and does their thing, and I've been on servers where teamwork is excellent. However, in every server I've been in, people who are a certain class do their job as they should; i.e. medics healing and reviving, support dropping ammunition, etc. They may run off instead of hanging back with the squad (if they even ARE in a squad), but they do their job when they see someone needs help. And since objectives give points, you'll always get teamwork around the CPs.

Regarding transportation, people will stop for you and give you a ride most of the time. I've had people go out of their way to pick me up, which is nice.

You gain points for being commander based on some calculation for how your team did. I don't know how it works, but I know you get a 2x bonus if your team wins. There's usually a commander; how good he/she is varies, but I haven't played with any stupid or inattentive commanders yet.

Actually, you do gain points for transporting people. If you spend allot of time in an APC, then you can earn your Basic Armor Award. If you spend allot of time flying around in a Humvee, you just need a good gunner who gets lots of kills, and each time he kills somebody, you also get a take on the credit.

Yeah, you are awarded points for being a driver, in-game you are award one point for every kill your passengers aquire. For bfhq you get points for working as a team, using transport vehicles, and being a driver.

Ive found teamwork is exceptually well for public servers with random strangers. compared to bf1942 or DC it is worlds apart in my opinion

points for driving someone around, yep
it's called "Driver ability assist"

for those not knowing what that was :P

On a certain level, yes, it's a problem.

Then again, ranked servers constitute 10% of the servers.
