Is there a tutorial covering source specific stuff yet?

I used to map for DoD, so I don't need any tutorials on the stuff that has remained unchanged, is there a tutrial that just covers the new stuff, like physics objects and nifty shattering glass and 3D skyboxes and all the other new nifty source stuff?

Oh, also, what about terrain? I got pretty good at making terrain by hand, but it was still a pain in the ass, is there any kind of more automated way of doing it now? And can you make it less... square?

Wow, is it just me or is the terrain editor almost completely useless? You can't use the sphere wherever you want, it only seems to work in certain points on your brush. the smooth thing doesn't seem to do anything. Sometimes when you click to lower or rais it will stick on and keep lowering or raising your terrain. It makes ugly square terrain. You can't move around in 3d when using it aside from back and forth witht he mouse wheel. really kinda disapointing.

There's a drop down tab for X/Y/Z axis if you haven't found it yet. Change that to adjust which angle you can alter the terrain.

Set the "Power" to 4 if you want finer control. Hold shift to make it "stick" to one point, and use only the left button, moving the mouse up or down to raise/lower the terrain. I've found the smooth tool works best when your "terrain brush" is set to a high radius.

Not sure what you mean by this. I work in the 3D window, in zoomed mode, with the Face Edit / Paint Geometry windows shuffled over to the right side of the screen, and I'm able to use all the camera control shortcuts (space + left click, space + right click, space + right/left click, wheel).

Is there a list somewhere of all the different skyboxes?

EDIT: Nevermind, found a list.

What's the shortcut to ignore object groups?
