Is There Anyway To Control Fan Speeds?

Okay guys, here's the deal. Over the last few months I have been experimenting with overclocking of my CPU and Video Card but I am curious, Is there anyway to control the RPM of the CPU fan. I was thinking about going to buy a Zalman 120 mm fan but why do that when I could try to find a program that will increase the speed. So is there one?

all that I know of is get a fan controller, or your fans might have thermal sensors.

fan controllers aren't that bad, theres a Nexus on newegg thats about $20.00 after shipping

The CPU fan header will still need to be plugged into the board. You will want something like this if you use a fan controller.
