Hi,

I've been having some issues with taking clear screenshots. Now, everytime I take a screenshot I get this weird distortion on the lower half of the shots.

Is there something that I can do to fix this? Maybe my settings need to be changed? I don't know. They are on the highest.

But, it doesn't display like that during the game, just when snapping a screenshot.

Thanks.

have you tried using one of those programs which you can use to take decent screenshots of games like HyperSnap DX. I havent used this myself but I here it is very good. Here is the homepage:

Code:
http://www.hyperionics.com/hsdx/index.asp

and here is one of the features which might solve your problem:

"Snags also those difficult-to-grab screens from DirectX™ and Glide™ games."

Hope this helps.

That helps temporarily but I have to have the application running in the background while playing.

However, I still would like to know what's wrong with my screenshots, and if it is graphics card related. Even after I bought the card it took screenshots okay.

Do you always keep your graphics drivers upto date, because there may be an issue with your current drivers which could be sorted with Nvidia's next release or you may have to revert back to older drivers to sort the problem. The fact that the card worked ok up until a certain point makes me think its a driver issue.

I have no clue, but on a lark you could make sure vsinc is on. Just thinking maybe it tries to take a shot of the last rendered frame and if it's an incomplete frame it messes up ??? ..or I could be talking out of my a$$.

Meh. worth a try.

The card is up to date but at that time I may not have changed my AA and AF settings.

I had my card set to AA/8xS and AF/16x, with vSync on when the problem came about.

So, thinking that one of those settings was causing me a problem, I changed settings to AA/4x and left AF/16x. The screenshots did not have that distortion anymore.

Yeah. Looks like antialiasing causes a lot of problems. When I turn it on, every thing in game is cut in half (like the ammo bar, the aux bar) from the bottom up, and my guns no longer have any muzzle flash and explosions don't have any explosion. You just see the dirt kick up and a loud kick. I just leave it off.
