Is this game gonna require a fee to play online?

Well...with the steam and all that stuff...and playing on Steam servers etc...

What do you think? If it's not free...agh, it' gonna limit online gaming for me back to Half Life 1....

there are diff pay options, like just HL2 SP (no mods), SP and MP and mods, colectors ed, etc, its listed on HL2 section of PHL

There will be no charge for playing the game online. That is, if you buy the game in a store (or on steam) it wont cost anything more to play it online.

You can, however, choose to "rent" the game for monthly fee (its said to be around 10$) You will then get acces to all material Valve release as long as you pay your subscription fee.
