Intel Core i7 920 (2.66) (+ some cooler master cooler)
Asus p6t Motherboard (supports ddr3 and Sli)
2Gb DDR3 (1333) Ram
Hitachi 250GB HDD 7200RPM
DVD Burner
Gigabyte 9800GTX with 512Mb
450 Watt PSU (shit..it's seems little)
Bad-ass colourful gaming case with fans and lights
Logitech Gaming Keyboard + Logitech Gaming Mouse
(3 years warranty by that shop)
Windows Vista Basic

Price: 1550 Singapore Dollars
US Dollar Price: 1000 US Dollars

I'd probably use my old os, and probably do away with the fancy keyboard and mouse, so it might be lesser

My concerns: It's a corei7, and I know nuts about it. I'm not sure if any games are going to actually support that processor or if it's going to give me better performance than a standard quad series. And the PSU they are giving me seems pretty low watt.

What do you guys think?

I saw an HP Pc at Best Buy that had 7GB of Ram, Quad Core Windows Vista 64 bit, 750GB HDD, and a few more goodies for around $800. It had a bad graphics card but yours has only 2GB of Ram, thats really weak imo, also get Windows Vista Premium

looking for pics and price now on bestbuy.com

That's a pretty decent set-up, considering it's HP. But, mine has much higher specs(i7, bad-ass mobo, DDR3Ram, nice GPU)

anyway, you're going out of topic, I'm asking about corei7 and asking if it's worthy of the above price, and you post some HP set-up.

DDR3 isn't really worth it over DDR2 unless you have money to burn imo. I think most games and other programs still have limited/no quad core support.
9800GTX is dirt cheap even though it's a good card.

You could probably build something superior for cheaper.

Unless you play GTA4 the i7 is going to make little difference in your games over a standard Quad, and even GTA's quad support is half-assed. I haven't come across any games apart from GTA were quad cores make a difference including Crysis.
