Is this worth it?

Is a new pc with an AMD duron 1.6, 256 megs of pc2100, 40 gig hdd, geforce 4 mx, 300W psu worth $200? Considering building it

I'd get it just for a dedicated server other than that I wouldnt see much point..

Yeah, for the right use.
Few considerations.
The ram I would be a little shaky on. I would bump that up to 512mb.
As for the GF4 MX, why not get a main board with onboard GF4 MX to cut that cost out.

I don't have any real complaints about that setup and it includes a number of things so for 200$ it may be worth it depending on use.
BTW I'm assuming its new and not used. If its used, it isn't worth it.

But but...nobody reads this forum! lol jk Pendragon -- i'd use it for a dedicated server, you can see my usual pc's specs in my signature...it's new too, all from newegg

pendragon, not everyone has the money to pay a monthly fee for hosting small time games. nor does everyone WANT a top of lthe line computer (i do though ). and yeah it would makea pretty good server... might want a little more ram though.
