Well yeah, Israel has Nukes... but it doesn't seem to be a country that will be quick to use them if at all. Other weapons have nuclear capability as well, so why such a focus on Israel? So far they're in the club of nations, which includes every nuclear capable nation other than the united states, that has had nuclear technology and not used it, even during serious wars.

Then again, during its most serious war, I don't think they had a nuclear weapon until that same year or the year after. The Six Day War.

Israel is in a pretty rough location, given their relations with the Islamic world. Maybe I just haven't come across it, but I also don't hear Isreal threatening everyone with their version of jihad. Even if Iran gets one, I don't know if it justifies an invasion (not that this has stopped us from this sort of rot in the past).

One is merely pointing out the irony of it. The US threaten Iran over the prospect of them potentially developing nuclear weapons down the road. Which is a bold leap of imagination given they're working on building a power station (the oils going to run out one day, they can't burn it forever). Yet are quite happy for Israel to sit there with a potent arsenal of tactical nukes at the ready. Now let's be quite clear on something, despite the hysterical reporting that will claim otherwise no Muslim political or religious leader will ever authorize or carry out a nuclear attack upon Israel, because the lands are considered sacred (esp Jerusalem) and it's just not that big a place to start throwing around radioactive WMDs wantonly. Certainly a lot of them are opposed to what's happening in Israel, but that's more to do with the military occupation of Palestine and what they see as a zionist (nationalist) Israeli government.

I think it is all about intention. Iran is absolutely crazy. I however don't believe going to war will remedy that, in fact chances are it will make them even more crazy and make the U.S. suck even more to live in. Our economy is already bad enough.

On the basis of what exactly? Him opposing the longest ongoing illegal military occupation of a country by a foreign power since World War 2? I'm not seeing that as grounds for insanity tbh.

George W Bush imagined Iraq had WMD and was an immediate and tangible danger to the entire US of A, but bizarrely post invasion no super arsenal of WMDs has ever been found. The guys seeing things and he's got 12,000 nuclear weapons at his disposal. Whose the more important one to worry about? :dozey:
