I love to fly, and not to sound immodest, but i'm pretty good at it. The problem is that most of the gunners i get are pure garbage.
The worst are the one's that just get in because they need a ride, they shoot at the water more than the enemy and bail out when they get ashore.
My next favorite, are the one's that think the missile is the greatest thing ever and shoot it at everything, including infantry.
Then you have the people that think you are blind, and try to steer the helicopter by looking at the extreme left and right and refuse to tell you where the AA tank is, or which side the AA turret is on.
I've actually hovered directly in front of a sniper, and the gunner wouldn't shoot him because he saw some guy to his left and was still trying to get me to go back. So i just squished the sniper when he got up to run.
There's the occasional good gunner who understands the basics concepts, ie. machine gun for infantry = good; missile for armor = good. But these still seems to lack the understanding that you can steer the missile once you launch it.
There have really only been maybe 3 or 4 good gunners. The kind that understand when i hover far away from the enemy's battleship, and have it lined up perfectly with our missile--that i want you to launch the missile and fly it at the battleship and hit the black hawks or the big turret. The kind that realize the missile kills helicopters quicker than the minigun, and understand that sitting there and capping flags isn't my primary job.
So here's a question for you: what did my gunner get on his sat's?
