I love to fly, and not to sound immodest, but i'm pretty good at it. The problem is that most of the gunners i get are pure garbage.

The worst are the one's that just get in because they need a ride, they shoot at the water more than the enemy and bail out when they get ashore.

My next favorite, are the one's that think the missile is the greatest thing ever and shoot it at everything, including infantry.

Then you have the people that think you are blind, and try to steer the helicopter by looking at the extreme left and right and refuse to tell you where the AA tank is, or which side the AA turret is on.

I've actually hovered directly in front of a sniper, and the gunner wouldn't shoot him because he saw some guy to his left and was still trying to get me to go back. So i just squished the sniper when he got up to run.

There's the occasional good gunner who understands the basics concepts, ie. machine gun for infantry = good; missile for armor = good. But these still seems to lack the understanding that you can steer the missile once you launch it.

There have really only been maybe 3 or 4 good gunners. The kind that understand when i hover far away from the enemy's battleship, and have it lined up perfectly with our missile--that i want you to launch the missile and fly it at the battleship and hit the black hawks or the big turret. The kind that realize the missile kills helicopters quicker than the minigun, and understand that sitting there and capping flags isn't my primary job.

So here's a question for you: what did my gunner get on his sat's?
drool.

Yeah, there are quite a few incompetent people out there that think they are gods gift to gunners. I was hoping by now people would stop with the trying to whore the helos just to fly for fun. But yeah know, I'm wrong. At least you can be happy there are those few that are actually good at the gunner seat.

PS I hate pilots that shoot at infantry too! :(

I've never hit anyone with a missle before. Never figured out how to use it :(

I'm happy to report that I'm exactly that kind of gunner usually. Although the missile is definitely tough to nail anything with sometimes. (Choppers not hovering in the air you can forget about).

If we are talking about the TV missle, then yes, it takes practice. It gets really easy. After a long time of practicing with it, I found myself clicking at least 10 times after shooting. The thing generally lands its target.

Im a really good gunner, many people i play with have commented on that. However, i am horrible at flying jets, but i do have pretty good skills with the choppers.

P.S. I love the TV missle, i can get a hit almost every time with it and its one hit, one kill for tanks.

id recommend u go on well known RATED official servers. I never encounter wank***, i always play with good team effort. EA UK & Multiplayer.co.uk & my clan servers are the only ones i use.

yea, i forgot about that. I hate when i'm gunning and the pilot will try to attack infantry with his missles...i mean seriously if you're doing that, then why am i even here?

I'll use the tv guideds for infantry, if the co pilot gun and its bugs mean that i cant hit them- havent had that problem since the patch mind you.

Because sometimes you're flying and you've lined up a shot for your gunner where there'll be like four or five enemies clustered together, and the guy's looking off in the other direction even though you're saying, "Hostiles on the ground, hostiles on the ground! In front of us stupid!" So what else are you gonna do? Let the enemy live? I think not.

You know what I hate the most are gunners who are unaware there even ARE hellfire missiles. They're in there shooting at tanks and other attack choppers with the machine gun. All it takes is practice and a good pilot and you should be nailing EVERY vehicle with hellfires. I've knocked planes out of the sky with them when coupled with a good pilot. Some people don't even know the missiles exist.

Usually what I like to do is hop in the chopper and broadcast that you must meet certain qualifications to be my gunner. If not, I'm not taking off.
