For the first time I joined one of those knife/pistol servers. I think it was called "texas knife/pistol/shock paddles'. But I played 1 half of 1 round, and ended with 238 points. I started playing the next round and ended with like 102 after maybe 10 minutes. It's insane. The texas one was really well regulated, commanders can't arty, no guns, no grenades, no claymores, there's boundries also. They play karkland and they play between the 1st and 2nd capturable flags. Of course you can't capture flags, so in that little bus stop area it's just a massacre.

I played as medic, knife people, save people, and drop packs for healing points. I think I may just play there 2 more times and finally hit the 20,000 point mark.

Yeah, those servers are pretty ridiculous. I'm honestly surprised that EA/Dice haven't cracked down on them.

Ranked servers are not allowed to place any rules onto the players. Theres a place you can report these servers. Those servers are for stats padding that's the whole damn point of not allowing guns.

be careful, people lose all their points just by playing on them

I played on a knife/ pistol server and got like 60 points or so. Personally I really like it especially if ur teamates work with you. It's almost like cs with its pistol round. But you can use cars as cover and barricades. Its almost like a police shoot-out. I suggest you try it out once but not stat padding.

Be careful with them servers, if EA catch you then you can be royally screwed!

Play that style unranked though and you're fine

These servers took the coolness out of having an expert knife and pistol badge back in the day when it was hard to get. Now it's chump-worthy. It takes hardly any effort to get it now ;( At least it shows the date when I earned I guess...

You don't seem to get them in Australia (at least I havn't found one that I have the ability to connect to) So I havn't quite chumped up my stats yet

Couldn't agree more with you, felt a bit of joy after finally getting that 18th knife kill during the last moments of a round. But ever since they removed the IAR and turned it into global, it's completely worthless. They should seperate it and create a special icon / description (Godlike maybe? ) for those who got it the old fashioned way... 18 knife kills in a round.

They probably have no clue what the rules really are..they are probably just 16 year olds that like to get rank ups and feel special.

the one time i played on that one, people who killed with guns were kicked, instantly. It was so fast it was almost like a script. You'd see XXXX killed [m24] YYYY then before that even cleared, ***XXXX has been kicked and banned***

Infantry only is stupid, BF2 is dumb enough on certain maps like kirkland. But infantry only consists of 50% medics and 50% support spamming their packs. It's so easy to get 100+ points doing that. I had to put in a lot of work to get my knife badge on a vehicle server.

Yeah, like those of us who got the REALLY hard badges before they dumbed them down. >_<
