New Ridge Racer coming for current gen consoles and PC in 2012. They've handed it over to the developers of Flatout, obviously following in the footsteps of Need for Speed. Seriously check out this logo.

Yes, Ridge Racer Unbounded. Guh.

No details as yet, I mostly just wanted to link this because the trailer is ****ing hilarious.

Love the budget-title cinematic, must have spent years and millions of dollars rendering that bad boy.

Cool, I hope we get to drive cars in this one.

The only way this will be good is if the trailer depicts actual gameplay.

Basically what Stig said. Flatout was good laughs for the destruction and ragdolls.

Bugbear Racing Game - Destruction = Bad Racing Game

lol'd at their sponsors. Hauppauge? SteadyWonder? The **** do those have to do with games? They're like video capture and recording companies. At least Sennheiser is sorta related in that they make stuff with which you can hear the game. Even thats a bit of a stretch.

Haha I thought the exact same thing. It really reminded me of old FMV sequences on the PS1, like from Driver and the like. The animations on that woman were so rigid!

The Flatout developers working on a Ridge Racer game? Give me a new Flatout instead!

so they went the same way of ace combat and butchered the whole atmosphere and feel of the game?

RJ, "raped" is such a harsh word. Why not say they just "butchered" it?

I swear the stepping sounds are identical to the stepping sounds in the opening cinematic of Driver.

Haha they so are! With an extra "click" thrown in for the heels! :D

Gameplay. Looks decent maybe, world builder could be fun. Seems closer to Burnout than Flatout to me, though.
