But I can't take any pictures. <sigh>

I don't have any double A batteries and every time I try to use any I find in the house, it shuts off immediately as I try to snap a picture.

I really need to get some rechargable double A batteries for my digital camera(it takes 4), that are good and reliable and cheap. Any suggestions?


But... SNOW IN TEXAS. TWICE! A couple days or so ago, and now today it's actually coming down more. Texas is such pussies when it comes to snow, that businesses shut down. My brother came home from work saying they shut down work, and his place isn't the only one. lol. One centimeter of snow and businesses must shut down!

34 degrees, feels like 22, snow.

If it gets to any significant depth, I'm going to go make snow angels. I have missed snow so dearly.

Where in Texas?

I'm in Austin. All we have right now is really cold rain. I'm jealous. I want snow and canceled classes.

Hell yes! I hope we get out of school tommorow. This is epic. I've never seen this much snow in my life in Texas.

Wasn't the high in the mid 80's last week? And now its a freaking blizzard. Welcome to Texas.

The last time I saw it snow in texas was years ago.

And thanks for the pics theotherguy! I would have gotten some like it... but stupid camera batteries. :(

I have never seen snow. NEVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! Only in pictures or movies, etc.

I WANT SNOW SOOOOO MUCH! :(
 
We just barely got a snow day because the roads were pure ice, it was warm enough for rain, but the second it hit the ground, it turned to ice.

We had to go to school the next day with half-meter of snow..

By the way, only buses were shut down school was still actually open, EVERYTHING else was open, too.

I also must say that this wasn't even that much snow either.. Texas must be just a bunch of pussies.. Yup, just a bunch of vagina's walking around and all..
 
Well, you see, theotherguy wasn't kidding about the ten year thing. It's a major event, like the sky has broken.
 
lol texas isnt prepared for snow storms, because they dont happen often. so im not surprised if lots of things closed down. also i live in houston and it snowed a couple of years ago christmas. like less then an inch :p

Yeah, and talk about the driving! Texans don't know what to do when it snows.

Nobody could get out of the high school parking lot because some idiot was trying to peel out in the slush and got stuck up against the curb with his back tires spinning. Driving home I was stalled by a semi truck that had tried to take a hard turn up a hill into a gas station and had ended up fishtailing across the whole road.
 
i take no pride in the amount of snowfall we get. I hate snow. No good comes out of snow if you're not into snowboarding or winter sports.

Never in my life (or that i can remember) a more ****ed up winter than this year. I mean, we've had like 12 snow storms, 2 ice storms, a random 2 day span where the temperature was 15+ C, and the following day it was -25C....i can't take this stupid winter. I hate it. **** off winter, if you were a person, i'd hit you repeatedly until you stopped moving and you were nothing more than a puddle of guts and blood.


Yes, man that felt good.

Did you use the TV remote's batteries? They are a perfect source for immediate AA battery needs.
 
Yeah, it all turned to rain before it reached longview, thankfully.

Anyone that thinks snow is nice, you don't have a ****ing clue. Move to New York for a few years and say you like it then.

Umm. I lived in Alaska for Quite a few years. I loved the snow. Snow isn't a big deal if you have a city that can responsibly control the problem with the streets... and you have a responsible population who drives safely and with the proper gear to match their conditions.

Also... what the hell at this thread. What have I done? What is happening?

Doesn't mean the weather will just get less severe on the cold side of the scale... the weather is going to get very funky.
 
I love snow. The more the better. Although I really hate ice...
Rain before snow? That means a layer of ice under the snow on your car windows...the roads...boo.

I think it's funny when people, in places who don't normally get that kind of weather, freak out. I get excited when it snows too but it's mainly funny how many don't know how to drive in it etc. Even with just a dusting of snow.
