dude i played, and i must admit, smoke is very effective, in the old one, u can see through the smoke, in this one, u cant, if ur in the middle of the smoke, ur completely blind, its amazing, ask me ne questions
 
does the deagle have a shader that sort of reflects the world around you on its metal?

wow... u play alot eh? i mean i would play at a cafe but i dunt want to ;D saving up for RAM... ( 512 ) ;D so... how much do u spend at the cafe? ( time - money ) and one more thing how can u sit in a chair for like more then like 2 - 3 hours i mean my ass gets num afterwards ;D
 
The reticle takes longer to go down now, I'd say 3 times as long. Headshots are harder to make because of the models bumping up and down while running. You have to be a little more precise when aiming because the hit boxes own I guess. Direct nade hits kill no matter how much armor. Dualies don't drop seperate. Besides all of the stuff I just mentioned, it's CS with physics and graphics.
 
Are there bullet hole decals on the players themselves???

Also, when someone dies, if you shoot their dead body, do more bullet hole decals appear on the model? Also, does the body react with ragdoll effect when you shoot it?

Hmmz 3 times as long??? did u have low fps while playing?

because 3 times as long is REALLY long then u wouldnt be able to hit shit lol
 
looks like they are changing sniping to require skill
 
i.e you actually need to hit them, not the hitbox + rifles are harder to use :)

yes (although I think they cheat, instead it has an area reflect which changes dependant on where you are.. like the scope lense on sniper rifles)

no smoke doesnt lag it, and your comp specs are double my little brother's (and he has a nvidia geforce 5200fx)
and he runs it all on high at 1024x768 60fps constant

this game is DAMN WELL OPTIMIZED I shit you not.. I thought it wouldnt even run on my low end comp.. but it does, perfectly.

the reticle takes the same amount of time to go down as in cs1.6.
headshots are easier if you can aim (I get em all the time) the reason its easier, is because the hitboxes are precise aka you can now aim at the head and actually hit it.

direct nade does not always kill you (I was just dropping nades at my feet) and in fact 98% of the time you live with like 5hp.

there are no bullet hole decals on player models in the cs:S beta, there were in the HL2 videos and the HL2 leak but not in the CS:S beta.. the reason for their absence is unknown

as I said above, decals dont show up on player models in the beta, so no.

you can however blow dead bodies around with nades, shoot them etc (as they become manipulatable ragdolls upon death)

hackers? some people call others hackers, I havent really noticed.. well despite the skywalking once in a while. (the patch was supposed to fix it, but I was in a game not 10 min ago where someone was up there)

there is only one playable map, its the DE_DUST remake

there is another map that tests your sound (just a little box with some dead Ts in it) it loads up when you click on the "test sound" button in the options menu. however the test sound map is not playable.

no it kicks MAJOR extreme ass, I mean I dont even like CS in the slightest, and I absolutely am in love with CS:S.... and this is the beta, with one map.

yeah it kicks major ass.. imo better graphics than Doom3.. I thought I was gonna be dissapointed with the gfx after being spoiled.. but its not true.. in fact I enjoyed CS:S more...
