I've looked everywhere for guides and such, and what i need to buy and what i really dont need to buy, but all the ones I found ARE REALLY, AND I MEAN REALLY hard to understand.

Has anyone modded there xbox and can tell me how much it costs and what i need

I really dont need 200 gb HD (as for right now) like only use the standard 10 GB HD for now and then buy bigger HD later is that possible ?

What can I do with a mod chip in my console??
Can I Copy games from rentals and burn them on DVD's ?

I have not modded an Xbox so I can't tell ya much of anything. :|
Hopefully someone else has. I can look up some stuff for ya though and try to understand it if no one else posts...

are mods illeagla or leagal...i am assuming leagal b/c they are sold in stores but dont they deactivate your xbox live if they catch you tring to go on with a mod??

You can grab a solderless modchip for about 40 bucks,
It aint hard to install, just check www.xbox-scene.com
And you can do everything you want when your xbox is modded :naughty:

I'd say go with a Xenium ICE Solderless, it's a great solderless modchip or wait untill Team Xecuter releases there solderless version of the new Xecuter 3.

Btw. You can watch movies, lissen to music etc. from the HD
Play games from the HD, copy games you got on dvd to your PC.
Play Emulated games like Metal SLug, GBA games etc.

So your saying all I have to do is buy the Xenium Solderless chip, plug it in, and BAM ??

So how do i get games like metal slug on my xbox and save to my HD?

And say my friend has the halo 2 stolen version can I just put that right in the disk try and play right away? if not is there a step-by-step walkthough to get games on your HD ?

It's a bit trickery but yeah that's the general idea, you can go for a guide here ---> http://dwl.xbox-scene.com/~xbox/xbox-scene/tutorials/xenium-s-adaptor.pdf (its for normal xenium but it's the same as the ice xenium)

And if your buddy got halo2 on a dvd you can put the game on the HD with one simple application for the xbox and play it from the HD without a dvd. (just need a connection with your PC with a cable to but the app on your xbox HD)
You can buy a crossovercable to connect your PC to your xbox and but roms,emulators,apps, movies, games etc. on your xbox just like a home network.
