My roommate is one of those whackjobs who believes in the 9-11 conspiracy theory, as well as any other conspiracy theory he hears. Inspired by his beliefs, I came up with a great superhero to make fun of him with.

THE PERPLEXOR

My vision is a guy who fights against the New World Order, which is basically the shadow government that rules the world. His one foil, though, is that he is too stupid or over the top to convince anybody about his theories. At the same time, the REAL shadow government attempts to take control of the world and stop the Perplexor, but fail at both because of their stupidity. (Mental image: a group of shadowy cigar smoking men, ruling the world behind a giant metal door with a piece of paper taped to it that has the words "No Girls Allowed!" scrawled on it.) The end result is epic battles for control over the world, but nobody knows or cares about it.

If anybody has any suggestions or conspiracy theories that the Perplexor can uncover, please let me know. Here is a planned list of episodes that the Perplexor will face.

The Perplexor and the Mystery of 9-11

The Perplexor and the Real Assassin of JFK

The Perplexor and the Nefarious Alien Visitors

The Perplexor and the Shapeshifting Reptilians

The Perplexor and the ******s of Bohemian Grove

how are your figure drawing skills? If it's just an internet comic then you can do whatever you want. But if you want to publish it you better be pretty good.

internet all the way. As for drawing skills, I'm working on it. Check out my website of what I've done so far.

I want this new project to be a bit more in depth than my regular 4-6 panel comics.

Ah, go ahead, sounds like a good idea. :D

I vote for good comic, i dont dont want to know how irritating your roomate is, so ill just read your comic :D

You're pretty good, but work on your faces. (This is based entirely on the startup image I got.)

Hey, I'll work with you. I'm a conspiracy theorist, or at least I like to muck around with them. Here are some key words: Majestic-12 (it's my wireless network name ^^), Echelon 12, the Philadelphia Experiment (Time will tell...), Illuminati, Zion, Area 51, Stages moon landings, Harold Holt, Black Helicopters, Denver International Airport.

You're going to have to explain some of those, like Harold Holt and Denver Airport. Also, I made some extremely rough sketches of the Perplexor that I'm going to use. I'll upload them once I get out of work.

how you can make a serious comic

I hav a litle idea but not sure if it could be good

also dont know nothing about that industry

I made a comic book character once, his name was "The Boofer".... he had a straw and he boofed people.

Harold Holt was an Australian Prime minister during the Vietnam War. Um... 1965ish? He drowned in the surf off Chevlot Beach, Victoria (The south-eastern corner of the mainland, basically). His body was never found though, so this gave rise to all sorts of stuff, like he was kidnapped by the Ruskies, he was a ruskie, he was a soviet spy, he was kidnapped by the CIA, etc...

Denver Airport is apparently the 'city' of the New World Order, partially because it's a fair while away from Denver proper, it's larger than a few cities, and murals keep being painted all over the place depicting weird stuff.

Wikipedia's pretty good for conspiracy theories.

Comic book industry is very hard to get into I hear. Basically it's every young (male) artists dream to draw action figures beating each other up. So there is no shortage of talent.

Well, this is going to be a super hero comic the same way Earthworm Jim was a super hero. My plan is for it to be very goofy and over the top, while highlighting how rediculous most conspiracy theories are.

This is going on the internet, too. I've definately got a better chance of success on the internets than in real life.

I got your super hero right here

You go to GMU? I have a bunch of friends up there. Nice little place.
