I've got a job

So I won't be posting much anymore like I used to. I'm working at Eckerd now, today being my first experience hands-on, and I've just got to get used to it. It's my first real job of my life. There is a lot of stuff to remember and memorize with the cash register, etc.

I don't know exactly what days I'm working-they call me when they want me to come in. It's usually 3-5 weekdays (4-9). But Saturdays are exclusively shot for me. I work a 9-9 shift. A strenuous 12 hours... :x

In the end, it'll be great to see my paycheck at the end of every two weeks. I'll finally have money of my own to spend/save.

I'm a runner for Tiger Athletic Foundation. Go pick this up, Stephen. Run this across the street to the Athletic Department, Stephen. Go water the ficus, Stephen. That sorta thing.

On Saturdays, I'm a DJ at WBRH/KBRH. I like that job better.

Also, I manage and play on a Men's soccer team. I don't get paid, but it really is a job in the amount of work I do.

I have too much to do already with school, but this summer I hope to get my first real job.
I need money to upgrade my computer, get a new digital camera, buy a cell phone get a car and license ect.
I just have to keep saying to myself "I will get a job..."

Good luck with that. I don't know what Eckerd is, is it like a big chain? I did a google search and see there is a drug store called Eckerd.

It is a bit overwhelming starting a new job and thats any sort of job, because you don't know the rules, or the people, or how to do the job very well normally. I guess you can only do your best, and thats normally going to be more than good enough.

You can buy anything There are regular Fred Meyer stores, and there are Fred Meyer super centers, which I work at, kind of like the walmart counterpart. Its sort of middle class bulk shopping, but not as yuppy as Costco.

I got a new job last month as well. I work in a insane asylum or mental health facility if you want to be politically correct. I don't actually work with the patients, I just get their medication ready for them. Im a student assisstant to the Pharmacists. I get paid decent money to sit on my ass and file paperwork, enter data, and clean. Not too shabby. I just got my first check today too!!! :bounce:

I'm starting work in about a week or two, dunno yet (employer is... not to fast with these things). It will be my second "season" working. I'll work for a shop that sells boating supplies, and since I live in Finland, the season is from March to around late september. So I'm working in april, may, june and july. Yay 4 me!

I work 2 jobs, in a compy shop (£40 PER repair/upgrade) and in a Fine Foods shop - believe me, I have to memorize hundreds of fruit n veg prices.

i used to sit around the house for 3 months, and i havnt had a proper job myself yet.

at the moment i am doing a Life Saving Course (have been for the last 11 weeks), and my exam is next week... physical and Theory!..

after that im gonna apply for lots of jobs, see which one comes along.

I work at Vintage Arcade Superstore We sell all those oldy games that started it all, like Pac-Man, Ms.Pac-Man, Astroids, Tempest, Centipede. You name it we got it

I work on the games, fix them up to brand new condition, I also do the piddly stuff around the warehouse and also manage their website.
