Hello my fellow HL friends – I come to you with a slight problem I would suspect one or two of you might have encountered. I think I’ve got worms… in my PC that is. I’m Using Windows XP (ver5.1) and have just connected my – ahem – new PC up to the net… 20 seconds later I’m told of a “LSA Shell” error and subsequently a timer commences giving me 60 seconds before the PC shuts itself off. Somewhere embedding amongst the soil a mysterious file located at “C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe” is mentioned along with a code – “1073741819.”
Problems only seem to appear once connected online and try and use anything to do with Microsoft.
Finally – I was told to download a Blaster Worm removal tool to get rid of me worm (assuming that it was indeed the Blaster Worm). After using this tool I have had no joy in locating any worms and am now puzzled… Please help… anyone… Oh, and f*** the get who developed this royal pain in the ass too by the way. LOL
