I've just realised something

Feel free to delete this thread, it's more of a personal musing than anything of any substance.

I just realised that over the months of watching videos and looking at screen shots and checking these forums every 84 seconds I havn't actually once thought about playing the game.

My anticipation has all been based around seeing more of the game and seeing how well it will run on my pc. I also want to see what the multiplayer is and that kind of thing.

I've worried about steam problems, gfx problems, shipping problems, etc but for some reason I've never seemed to think about playing it. My mind seems to be waiting for this game in the way I wait for films to be released and not how I normally wait for games to be released.

Maybe my inbuilt inner-synic (sp?) has always doubted if the release date will be met and as a result I never thought about actually playing the game.

Anyway as I said a completely pointless post and more of an indication of how screwed up I am rather than anything salient regarding HL2.

Anyone else going completely schitzo or is it just me?

I always wanted to play it, wanted to find out what's inside those "city eating devices" and wanted to fight with striders (I love the Tripods saga). That's why I would have ordered via Steam to get it earlier.
