Has anyone gotten into this game? I recently bought it and think it is pretty good. It has some clipping issues to work out but all together a very decent game. Lag free even when playing in games with well over 100 people. Another problem is that I find there is a little too many snipers about the levels. It is very frusturating cause it is very easy to die in this game. Post what you think of this game.

i bought it when it came out, and i enjoy the game, but it is very buggy. Its unplayable with servers that have 100+ players. And i agree... there are way to many snipers. I didnt try the new patch out, maybe that fixed a lot of problems.

my demo impressions were good at first but then the constant lag, clipping issues and graphic artifacts turned me off

Yes this game has some serious bug issues!! That's odd. I've been to many server with 100 plus players and it always runs smooth as silk. Some games are hella laggy but I find most to be quite smooth.

seems more like a large LAN game with at least 100Mbit connections and preferably 1Gbit. Looks fun, though..

Joint Ops is a great game, but glitchy and buggy like no other (except maybe Soldner ;))... Plus the various flaws in the gameplay (I dont even want to begin discussing about the grenade launcher, we can talk for weeks without finding out why Nova had a total brain fart while making that thing. Its worse than the BFV M60 was for gods sake) makes it a less than enjoyable experience, which is sad.

If Nova just had gotten their ass in gear and fixed the many but small obvious issues this game would have owned every other war sim around. Sadly I'm loosing faith in them :(

Thankfully HL2 will come soon, I hope, with military mods following :)

Haha, I remember all the hype about Soldner. I played the Demo, what a Crappy game.

Heh, yeah...

I remember being really really hyped for that game...

God damn that was disapointingly pathetic....

soldner was awful. the "beta"... *shudder*

Joint Ops......bought the game, enjoyed it for at most a week. It's not very pretty, runs pretty poorly, it's unbalanced and unless you are working as part of a team you won't get anywhere (lots of times I played and it was just a stalemate for the whole time on the map, people fly over get killed, fly over again, get killed). But the thing is not many people want to work as part of a team and like to go off on crazy helicopter runs on their tod.

Could have been very good, but it falls quite short :/

Probably not the right place to ask, so sorry, but I'll do it anyway! (Phase 1 complete, muwahaha) Anyway, what is an artifact?

I played the First Beta, it was really grate, then the Demo was really laggy even on Brodband I diden't buy it for that reason.

A graphical artifact is something that shouldn't be there, often white specs.

I have this game and can't stand it. The game is really buggy, laggy, and there are WAY too many snipers. You can not get anywhere on foot without being picked off.

Oh, and the lack of team work is amazing. It's, like, a 150 person free for all. It's both crazy and annoying.

Man, glad I read this thread. I was thinking about buying Joint Ops. Doesn't look like that's happening now.

I remember the Soldner hype too. Could have been a great game. Had some great ideas. But it aslo had some of the worst execution I've ever seen in a video game in the past 10 years. I was so disappointed with it. It's probably one of the worst games I've ever had the misfortune of playing.

It all depends on what you can stand in terms of negativity.

JO is *the* best game when it comes to creating an immersive combat simulation with many players. Cant even question that.
Regarding graphics, it is not ugly. On the contrary, once again its *the* best combat simulation graphics to date, with grass and vegetation that actually works unlike BFV. Realtime day/night shift on maps with nightvision is incredibly moody.
It has TONS of custom maps with great gameplay modes, it only takes a few secs to automaticly download a new map when joining a server, unlike the 40mb monsters of BF, this is a very sweet feature since you can just have *fun* (I recently played on a 200x200m close combat map... Everyone was running around with machineguns, half the kills beeng friendly, lol).

It has glitches, yes... And it has imbalances, such as the sniper being very plentifull and 2km range automatic grenade machineguns with infinite ammo, or AT launchers constantly taking out aircraft. The graphics engine is slowass and I get many 5-10 secs connection interruptions. The flight physics is on caveman level, although I personally like it.

But when you play a round where all comes together and the team is doing what it should, nothing can beat it. BFV is a child in comparison.

i tried the demo, didnt like it at all...

soldner, lol, i wanna play that game just to see how bad it is
