Japan, 3 months after the tsunami

It's unbelievable how much progress has been made in the past few months. Don't know how they're going to move that ship, but with all of the stuff they've done already, I'm sure they'll find a way.

Impressive cleanup, not so impressive time. 3 months is a long, long time.

Of course, I suppose the destruction being widespread instead of localized might have done something to hamper efforts to normalize stuff, but still.

Its been almost six years since Hurricane Katrina and a lot of that shit still isn't cleaned up.

Well, you guys must be lazy then. :p

I remember learning about disaster relief operations in eastasia in high school. When a typhoon destroyed an entire city of nearly 300,000 people, the army engineering regiments went in and cleaned everything up in the space of a week.

Same for the Japanese in the 60s and 70s. They managed to clean up everything extremely quickly.

*GASP*

How dare you call New Orlanders lazy?! THATS RACIST!

Lol :D

Btw, which would be more offensive; calling all Americans fat and lazy, or calling all black Americans fat and lazy?

What are you talking about hombre? You still havent cleaned up the north part of your entire country;)

I'm still a bit shocked by the scale of the tsunami destruction. I was at my gf's beach house with a bunch of friends getting drunk for spring break when I flipped the TV on at 3am and saw the tsunami sweeping over Japan live on TV. Crazy shit.
