so, I need to write an applet for my Comp Sci class, but my computer has decided that it'd preffer not to run applets. Or, it'll run applets fine, and when I direct my browser to a java test page it'll run the test applet fine, but none of the applets for this class, including the one's I try to write, are working for some reason. For some, I get a big old red X, for others just a blank page.
I've got the latest version of java installed, but I noticed that when I run the test applets, it'll keep on saying i'm using java 5 when i've definitely got java 6 installed. When I try to disable java 5 in prefferences so it's forced to default to 6, applets stop loading entirely. Not sure what that's about, or if it's even related.
Idea's what's going wrong?
