Java programs not working

My torrent programs as well as Limewire aren't working. For some reason, limewire will start, but the windows will be blank. Anyone have an idea of what is going on?

Uninstall/Reinstall your JRE.

I've tried a full reformat but limewire still wouldn't work. Do you think it might be a hardware problem?

I'd have to say it's highly unlikely that it's a hardware problem (unless you're having other problems that have nothing to do with Java apps). It's probably just a compatibility issue with the version of Java you're running, or you're lacking Java altogether.
