And already posted: http://www.halflife2.net/forums/showthread.php?t=59067&page=7&pp=15
(bottom of page)

Though I guess a new thread is a good idea too.

o didn't know...srry bout that, i just did a quick check so you guys/girls will know fast...anyways....heres the fix list and add

"New Features in 0.4:
-New console variable: phys_gunattract, ability to turn off pellet attraction. Use
in combination with phys_gunautoweld for best results.
-New console command: ent_create_cannister <thrust> <thrusttime>, create a physics cannister
and colorizes it from least to most powerful. Green = Low Thrust, Red = High Thrust.
-Elimated crashes involving pellet removal, it will no longer crash when removing a pellet
then picking up the object.

Installation:

1)unzip to half-life 2 folder (the folder that contains hl2.exe)
2) create a shortcut on the desktop by right-clicking the game
on the game list and selecting "Create desktop shortcut". In the launch parameters
of the shortcut add: -game jbmod -console

Example: "C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 220 -game jbmod -console

3) to spawn a physgun ingame, type this in console: give weapon_physgun
4) to enable autowelding, type: phys_gunautoweld 1
5) to disable pellet attraction, type: phys_gunattract 0
6) press the "use" key (default: e) while pointing at a certain pellet to remove it."

Downloading. They should make this work for hl2dm last version i believe was for single player only.

Not going to download any version until its stable.

sexay, first version didnt work for me :( lets hope this one does

half life update needed to get it work so us uni guys are still suffering :(

A little curious. If this is positively answered, I'll try the mod out. If I add the shortcut and those extra launch parameters, will I still be able to play without the mod by not using the shortcut to launch HL2, but rather launching it from the My Games section of Steam? If so, I'm in. If not, well, I might not be in. *shifty eyes*

No, you can't launch it from "My Games". You simply make a copy of your HL2 shortcut and add in -game jbmod. This way you can play HL2 and the jbmod seperatly.

It's very easy.

Yes, the shortcut loads the mod, and launching through Steam still loads normal HL2.

Anywho, this mod is fun for about 15 minutes, then it gets old. And I don't know if it's just me, but it's incredibly hard to weld ragdoll objects together. If that was made easier then it would be a better mod. I want to have a string of a dozen combine all connected together. :(

Ahhh, very nice WhiteZero and FoB, thanks. I guess I have myself some welding to do! :D

Amazing. This version only crashed once for me while i was trying to pick up/kill an antlion

Not gonna download any version till its stable... and made by somebody else. Broken record, I know, but geez it's hard to believe...

I got a crash when I tried to weld a barrel to a sheet of metal. also when the beam turns red, you can move the object like 10 feet away from what you're welding it to and the beam is still red. It will weld in thin air. weird.

a lot more stable :)

i managed to crash it after i weilded a table with 4 weild points, and then took them away, then it was stick in the wall, then i weilded a box to it, then put a ragdoll on the box, and it crashed :)

Anyone figure out how to spawn red thrust canisters?

to be more specific (the one i use)

ent_create_cannister red 100.00

i tried ent_create_cannister 10000 100

went pretty fast
It makes good target practice to try and shoot them

um i installed it and when i do sv_cheats 1

and give weapon_physgun.

it says unable to give weapon ..bla bla bla and it doesnt give me any weapon ??

You didnt install it correctly....
Checklist:
1.) Extracted jbmod into "C:\Steam\SteamApps\username\half-life 2" and NOT "C:\Steam\SteamApps\username\half-life 2\hl2". Thusly, the path after extraction to the MOD should be "C:\Steam\SteamApps\username\half-life 2\jbmod"
2.) You created a shortcut to run Half-Life 2, with the target on the shortcut being "C:\Steam\Steam.exe -applaunch 220 -game jbmod"
3.) You typed "give weapon_physgun" and not "give weapon_physcannon" or any other variation.

If it still dosent work, reinstall; becuase the error you got is pretty much saying "the thing you wanted to spawn dose not exist", which it shouldent if you installed properly.

I found something!!
If you zoom in on stuff and then press sec fire to stick pellets it goes on full auto. Not very useful though.

has anyone figured out a good stratagy for makiing multiple canisters go off at once?

attach like 30 to something weilded to a wall (like a big table) shoot each one, then unweild the table, it should go flying up (havent had a chance to test it)

Type in the console phys_timscale 0
That will freeze everything in the world except you. Then, shoot all the canisters, and the type phys_timescale 1.

thats a superb method !
thanks, hehe, im off to attach a few 100k thrust cannisters to the buggy :D
