That's just my ducking skills. They were lined up at their spawn, I popped around and capped them and just instinctively ducked behind the wall. When I realized I got two guys I just stopped and hit the screencap, which I know have binded to spacebar to make screencaps faster and easier to take.
As you can see there is no shot impact decal...

A scout can't shoot through walls, silly.
Someone awped me through a wall once, though. In that one assualt map in the city. Hate.

Yes, and it's legal.
but you get picked up so obviously for WHing if you use it too much.

You can have walls transparent, gun models huge so they poke through walls, huge player models so they poke through walls, etc.

The latter two get picked up by consistency, however, so are impossible to use on most VAC2 servers unless you know the way to get round it like one person here

If the server admins know what they're doing, they'll turn consistency off. A lot of people use custom models and having consistency on (preventing people with custom models from joining) really cuts down their server traffic.

That is true, but it was put there to stop people using models like you noted in your previous post. Nevertheless I agree.

Not to mention people using those bright orange / green / pink / whatever color models so enemies are easily spotted, personally I think consistency should be on to maintain balance. Like the examples said earlier, it's not fair to others when you're given an unintended advantage... :|

I had a soundpack (mercatorn soundpack, if anyone can find a link, much <3 to you) that made the footsteps a little bit louder. But I lost it in a format.

Whilst not a blatant hack in the same way as wallhack, aimbot etc etc, i have to say that in my opinion any soundpack that enhances the footsteps is in essence an unfair advantage.

I know that use of footsteps is a large part of the game, and those that use them well are far better players (i for one place great emphasis on the use of sound in the game), but surely making them easier to hear using custom content can be considered a cheat ?

Just my opinion though, no accusation intended.

I'm not using the soundpack (or any other for that matter) anymore. I would like to have it again because it was a really great soundpack, not because of the footsteps. I can hear people and their position with my speakersystem just fine.

I used to use high brightness colour models, because I find that playing in a window (unable to adjust the brightness) gives me an unfair disadvantage over those who play fullscreen, and up their brightness so they can see an entire map incredibly easily.

Now I'm just good enough that I don't need them. Still don't play aztec though, and on a sunny day (like every day this week), the corridoors in the dusts are stupidly dark (screen reflections :\), so I might shove them back on.
