job as Valet

Ok, so this is the latest part time job I'm trying to get. But just after I sent off my application I had a big fear of what if I get the job and I scratch a 100000 BMW or something. The job pays $8 an hour plus tips which would have to be pretty good I think. Anybody ever worked as a valet? Is it good money?

Ya that is it, i dont think you could scratch anyone's car unless you suck at parking or it is already scratched I am pretty sure your company has a policy for that ie im sure their are evil people that will have a scratch on the car, let you valet park it, then ask for the car, get the car back and say you made the scratch but its really hard to prove.

i would just talk to management about it AFTER you get the job. AFTER

I wouldn't mind being a Valet. Get to drive nice cars for a few moments and get paid to do it.

You park the cars, the only way you would scratch it is if you had no idea how to drive it. But if they say anything, "it was there when you gave me the keys sir."

Im sure that the company would have to pay for any damages, not the workers. At my job if a cart goes flying into a car they could sue the store, but not the people who are supposed to be out there.

It's true, but I think they may then be able to sue you for damages to the company.
