Wow. This is a little old, but no one has mentioned it which I can't believe! This is the greatest news from the metal world since Dickinson returning to Maiden and Halford returning to Priest! Is anyone else excited for the potentially brilliant new album that may or may not be in the cards for us lucky metal fans?

At the very least we have to see them in concert to hear him sing AIR, Among the Living, Imitation of Life, etc. would be one of the greatest times ever! Their tour right now is focusing on their '85-91 stuff, so you know its quality!!! There's still a bunch of EU dates left for all you lucky European metalheads!

This would be obviously amazing, but seeing Maiden and Halford a few years back at Red Rocks in Coloado might be the highest metal peak I have climbed...

Don't forget Spitz. :P He's back now.

Yeah, its kick ass news. Saw them at Download 2 weeks ago, excellent gig.

Set-list:

Blues Brothers Intro
Among the Living
Got The Time
Caught In A Mosh
Anti-Social
N.F.L.
Medusa
Indians
Belly of the Beast
-something else, I think-

Near enough that order, anyway. Absoloutly thrashtastic. And as for their tour, they are playing pretty far from me (Oxford and Colchester) but I'm going anyway. Got my Oxford tickets, just got to get my Colchester tickets. (Then my Dream Theater tickets, woohoo.)

Yes, Spitz is great to have back too :-) But I think Belladonna's absence was much more keenly felt, since his vocals differ so much from the stylings of Mr. John Bush. I just couldn't get used to him.

Strange how quickly I fell in love with Bruce Dickinson way back when, but maybe it was because Di'Anno didn't have as much of a repetoire with them yet. If he had been around until Somewhere in Time, it might have been a very different story. But Blaze Bailey coming in was almost exactly the same as Bush coming in for Belladonna--too much history they could never come close to matching.

Lucky bloody you for being able to attend Download 2! So many bands for such a great price! The EU has the US beaten as far as festivals go, esp. metal festivals...:-(

Yeah, Bush was good, tracks like What Doesn't Die and Anywhere But Here are great. Its a shame Belladonna's vocals can't cover those songs, they'd be good to play at a gig. Although as its the Among the Living line up, staying in the older stuff is a good move.

Download was great, regardless of Anthrax owning it. ;D Shame I couldn't get to see Meshuggah, though. They clashed. But still, Shadows Fall, Slayer, Megadeth... s'all good.

This weeked Graspop is over in France. GOD DAMN how I want to go. Dream Theater, Kreator, ANTHRAX, Iron Maiden, some other 30 odd good bands. *Sigh* And then theirs Fury Fest and With Full Force.... each with also kick ass line ups. :( Still, Bloodstock this weekend with CoB playing. ;D
