loved the books by edgar rice burroughs when I was a kid. not holding my breath with this one as I have little hope in hollywood's ability to not **** with things i hold dear

I share your concern for this one. I think it is going to go the way of so many of the Hollywood adaptations of awesome literature. Plus I hate the whole attempt at a Gears of War style juxtaposed music trailer. That ship has sailed and yet these people keep ****ing that same old chicken! Ugh.

I also loved the old books when I was young. Truly great, rip-roaring sci-fi/fantasy adventure with John Carter and Tars Tarkas kicking alien ass. This... looks like the Prince of Persia movie. Still, I will reserve judgement.
