Started off, hmmm my pc noisy( slept with it on)
so i opened case looked for noise producing paraphenalia
My supposed to be silent northbridge fan on ma msi k8n neo4 platinum was one of the culprits for audible noise
i can do anything about that atm i have a tight budget(i think to my self)
the question comes to my mind does my motherboard lower fan rpm when its cooler?
back on topic, i look to my psu and find the fan to be quite noisy, i was contemplating replacing the fan, however in that there was soldering required, i had a spare coolermaster fan which wouldahave fitted, but sadly no solder/soldering iron
instead i found a fan grill to replace the cut (stamped) metal thing
so i took a screwdriver to my powersupply opened it up blew the dust out and proceeded to unscrew the fan in there to get at the grill,
comes off fine in my hand, wiring is messy as hell but cant do anything about it
screw in the new grill and hey presto nice silent airflow
also ended up tidying up the cables and cutting the stamped fan grill covering my stealth fan (120mm) and that feels like its blowing even more air out now
all in all, im nearing silence, the next step dear fellows is a northbridge fan probs make a dinky purchase of a fan grill, nb fan and a ccfl as the one from ebuyer that turned up broke still hasnt been accepted:/
oo and when i get a digi cam u can all wonder at the amazing oomph my rig is gunna have the either a r520/r580 core in it
