Judge Dredd may grace the silver screen once again

Fear not my friends, for this time around it looks like they have come competent people on board:

Together with DNA Films, the movie production company behind such great sci-fi movies such as Sunshine and 28 Weeks Later, Judge Dredd will go into production in 2009.

Jason Kingsley, CEO and Creative Director said, ?We can?t give away too many details at this point, but we?re looking forward to working with DNA Films to bring Judge Dredd back to the big screen.'

While it is not yet a certainty, as long as Stallone is kept far away from this it could actually be pretty damned good given the production company.

Yes, but the sequel was by no means a bad movie. Sunshine was a great movie though.

Judge Dread had the potential to be a great movie. They kind of ****ed it up with their last attempt though, if they played it more straight down the line a la Dark Knight it would have been better. Judge Dread suits that style more than Batman does because the 2000AD comics were always quite dark in nature.
