Jump wont work

I'm on the level "Our benifactors" and at the begining of that level I couldent jump at all.. i've tried everything.. rebinding it to a different key.. restarting HL2.. restarting computer

could someone who's had this problem help me fix it, please.

Dude, I was just about to post the same thing, Im up to the same part and I wanted to up that little fence thing to get into the room with the big blue thing, But I cannot jump. I loaded from when i first started and still cant, Maybe this isn't a bug and we just havnt found the right path yet?

EDIT: Always happens, I just got past it, I through a control pannal next the the fence, got on it a little bit, then shot it with my gun, That made me fly over the gate.

Oh and now that im past the Big blue thingy, I can jump again.
