jumping higher, faster

ok, read somewhere that there were ways to jump higher and faster. Apart from the jump crouch technique what others are there? What's a "knife" jump?

Press crouch just before you jump. You can get to some really nasty places doing that.

also if you press crouch, jump and crouch in mid air then supposedly you are able to go further. Run ups also help.

As soon as you land if you jump again you can do another jump without getting the "slow down" effect. If you get the timing right you can do it multiple times in a row.

i was trying earlier to create an alias to rejump rapidly, i couldnt manage to though. does anyone know a way to do it?

I dont think theres a way to bunny hop in source without server mods

from what I could tell you get the most height out of a jump by running and pressing crouch+jump at the same time

it'll allow you to get on stuff like the boxes on de_dust on the terrorist side near underpass

also like stated above(not including the bunny hopping) if you time your jumps correctly you can do 3-4 in a row without slowing down
