Jumping

I am on the chapter "Benefactors" and I can not jump hitting the space bar. I went back a few saves and it works. I need to jump over a railing and can't so I am stopped. Can anyone help?

In that case, Buzz, go back to your save before the pod rides and don't try to jump out this time

I am not on the pod ride. I am past the pod ride and at the part where Dr. Breener is speaking on the video. I went down the hall to where the energy field is on my left, I need to jump over the rail but cannot do so. I tried as a test, jumping at other parts of this chapter and cannot do so. What is happening? I can't go any futher with this game until I solve this problem,.

Re-start the chapter. That takes care of it most of the time.

When you hit the space key while in the pod, you can no longer jump further in the chapter.
I'm not too sure though. Where I heard from isn't really much of a reliable source. Try re-starting the chapter, anyway.

Did you +use the pod or jump into it when getting in it? If you jumped into it, it's the same thing.

maybe you pressed the jump button by accident, your best bet would to try and restart the level.
