That's stupid. If that was true, then why isn't "redneck"/southern/etc. it's own language? They should have classes on how aight, yauntsum, etc. are actual words.

It is 100% true, you can't "deny" the black man their language! You white people took our freedoms and now you want our language?! Nu uhh!

um, eminem isn;t white, he's retarded... anyway, i find the problem in the fact that american english is already a poor version of english, and ebonics is a further bastardized version of american english which only serves to degrade how intelligent people sound.. are you gonna give someone a job if they come in speaking ebonics? it may be discrimanatory, but i think not teaching it in schools and making everyone use american english properly at least will help them in some respect later on in life

No, but ebonics was started by, and is spoken mostly by black people. Although other minorities use it, to further degrade their situation.

If you're complaining about being vaguely denied something you've never wanted, what's the point?

I think the point Foxtrot was trying to make is that a big backlash to this would be responded with by people saying "racist!" Rather than imply it's black people 'winning out' over whites or such.

so you're saying that they're in their current position because of what? ..the colour of ther skin? their accents? what could you possibly know about poverty? have you ever worked a day in your life? or does daddy pay for everything, including your opinions?

My dad was unemployed for a while, and for 3 years he worked third shift factory jobs, while I worked part time at the movie theater. I am saying they are poor because they make poor decisions, they chose not to educate themselves, and many of them don't want to conform to society (they don't want to change themselves) so they won't get hired for a job. They blame the school systems, saying teachers can't keep the kids under control, but isn't it the parents job to discipline the kids?
 
I can speak German and French really badly. Perhaps I can petition the respective governments to recognise my garbled bastardisation of their fine languages as Xuneglish...
 
I think is just like acent cuz at the end is the same english just that whit that street style

here in my country are something similiar,the people of poor neigborhoods specially what we call here "malandros"(something like a gangster but not really) and they speak the same languages but whit diferent acent and words and stuff
 
NM...shouldn't be considered a different language. Shouldn't be taught in schools either.
