Hey everyone

Just want to know what ping or latency means. Sometimes I'll connect to a server and then get booted because my PING is too high, what does this mean?

Ping (aka latency) is the time that it takes, in milliseconds (1000 = 1 second), for a packet to be recieved by the server from your computer, and then for a packet to be recieved by your computer from the server.
It's also used to see whether or not an address is reachable.

The less bandwidth you have access to (dial-up tends to max. out @ 33.6kbps), the higher your ping will be.
