... that I could play San Andreas and I forgot a memory card!!! nooo!

Anyhow. Since I have only 1 game for the PS2 I'd like people to reccomend me some old PS2 classics to try out (so that when I complete San Andreas my PS2 purchase still feels worthwhile).

Metal gear sold 2
Timesplitters2
burnout3
gran turismo3
time crisis3 :p
ratchet and clank
crash bandicoot

erm... ?

I don't use my playstation much, if at all so just ignore me :p

It's mostly just a dvd player but i might make an exception for san andreas :D

Ill have to buy burnout3 too, it's awesome :E

well I definitely had MGS2 & GT3 in mind... maybe Tekken and Crash Bandicoot too.

socom if you want to get into the onine thing

Definately Ico (my fave PS2 game by far)

Rez - if you didn't experience it's amazingness on the DC.

PES 4 - if you like sports/footy games.

(I sold my PS2 a year or so ago - but will be picking up another just to play Ico 2 ...... which looks so goddamn fantastic \o/)

MGS3 is out soon, and will be well worth checking out :)

oh yeh - girls like Eye Toy (and so do I :)) Get drunk - and watch them bounce (dance mats are even better for this)

oooh - and light gun games ..... Time Crisis 3 on the PS2 looks very sweet.

Yeah i've got Soul Calibur2. I'd buy that for sure, its much better than the Tekken series.

Can't really reccomend many games now because most PS2 games have either been released on Xbox and/or PC, except for the obvious amazing games that are MGS2(except this one is on PC/xbox), FFX and GT3 but you'll never get 100% on GT3 before GT4 comes out. The gold on the licences are just way to hard for normal people. I don't actually think its possible to get gold on them all with just a control pad (not enough precision), i think you need a life size car fitted with the ferrari gaming wheel in your front room tbh :p. Anyway with them 3 games (4 including SA) you've got a good 6 months of quality gaming if you intend on playing them all to the limits (quite honestly, you will never beat the last Dark Aeon in FFX, EVER!!!*note - only the EU version has dark aeons*.

I think im gunna buy another PS2 when i get a job along with a 28" widescreen :) my brother keeps ours in the RAF :(

Don't forget KillZone when it comes out.

I just bought Siren a while ago, and it rocks sooo hard. *drool*
The Slient Hill series is good too, but Siren is better.

If you're getting MGS2, you should get the Substance version, with a crapload of bonus gameplay.
I think that everyone who owns a PS2 will be buying MGS3, and rightly so.

Soul Calibur 2 and Armored Core 2 and 3 + their expansion packs are some of my favorite games. The AC games are cross-compatable with each-other, so they almost work as one huge game.

Fatal Frame 1&2 are great, but they're probably more of a rental game.
And if you're a big HL fan, PS2 Half-life is fun for the Decay co-op expansion, and it's probably really cheap now.

But really, the moral of the story is that Siren is awesome.

How much was this tiny PS2, by the way?

You have Donnie Darko on DVD! Sweeeeeeet!

The GameCube SouldCalibur 2 owns over them all.

I'd say:
Tony Hawks Underground
Silent Hill 2 & 3 (if you played the 1st one on Playstation, if not, pick up 1 as well)
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance
