Just bought a mac mini!

i've ordered a nice mac keyboard as well and can just hook my usb mouse into the end of that so the only complication when i want to move between mac and pc is my monitor cable. Does anyone know if it's possible to get a 2 way cable with a switch in it so i can switch the monitor btwn mac and pc?

thanks

Pretty sweet, I wish that I could afford one. Once I save up a bit, I thinkn that I will get one as a compliment to my laptop, those new mini's are so sweet. Im Jealous.
I just got a ipod shuffle though, and its awesome.

I think it's kind've pointless, because if you have 50 songs on, and 30 are crap, you'll be listening to crap songs all day. And you have no choice of what to listen to if you're feeling depressed or something

You can put the songs you want on there too, I like it, because usually all I do is walk around with it, and never look at the screen anyway. Plus, I dont have crap in my music library, I like all of it.

Most people I know with iPods all have 500 crap songs and about 10 good ones

That's such a dumb thing to say. I filled my iPod mini with 4GB of greatness. I easily put together an incredible collection of albums to fill it. It's a great product. Apple kicks ass.

And of course, its because of the Ipod they have 500 crap songs on it. Cant happen on another brand....

Why the hell do people need so many DAYS of music?

I'm getting a simple 1gb flash drive/mp3 player and it fits on my keychain.

I used to kind of think that way, but believe me, if you have a good collection of music (I like to think I do, mainly 70's 80's greatness), you can just go through your huge list and listen to anything at a given time. It's just nice to have that option, rather than be restricted to your favorites list at that time.

As for this Mac Mini...it seems pretty cool, and cheap.

And, you don't have to change your music every day when you have 10 gigabytes of music. You can keep all your music on your player!

Ipods rule. I have the 30gb one. 20 gb of tunes, and backed up all my work/emails etc.

Best thing about having all your tunes in one place is putting it on random when your driving long distances. No more wank radio stations playing horrid music, I have my own station and it never repeats a tune.

Thats the problem people have with iPods and the majority being PC users. Why do you feel because you have a PC you shouldn't get an iPod and because its made by apple its a reason to hate. God dammit stop being haters. Jeez.

The whole mac vs pc argument makes me laugh. I have used both side by side for years, each have their own advantages.

You get the spoddy wankers saying macs/pcs are rubbish when they have never used them, or used them long enough to know how to use them. These people are idiots.

I use pc for games, mac for work. My mac rarely crashes, it has been years since its crashed. My pc has never crashed. Yet. Well since I figured the ram was in the wrong slots (right ones according to the MSI manual I might add.) thats probably cos I built it and took my time and I take care of it.

In my eyes, Pcs are for gamers and , macs are for creatives and people who want a more hassle free computing experience.

Fortunately I have the best of both worlds..

Exactly.

But thats the only reason why I haven't switched to mac yet is because of games.I'm a big pc gamer and quite frankley unitll every pc game company out there starts supporting mac I ain't gonna switch.

I want a hassle free computing experience, but gaming overrides that.I just want best of both worlds on one OS.

Maybe some day they will come out with a program that allows pc programs/games to work on other operating systems.

Maybe a *nix is the way to go. Thats what the mac is based on, but with a fancy front end to it.

Normally when I post about macs and pcs in the same thread, all the little Mac sux0rz trolls come out of the woodwork. Good to see none here. :]

A nix?

You mean unix?Yea I already knew the mac was based on unix.Again bearly any pc game company supports.

Like I said....I want a hassle free computing experience and to be able to play games all on one OS without having to switch between diffrent comps/or OS's.
