Good price too $953 shipped.

Tell me what you think

Intel® Pentium® 4 "630" 3.0GHz
64-Bit Support with Intel EM64T
800mhz Front Side Bus and 2MB Cache
Hyper Threading Technology
Intel 945P Chipset

256MB GDDR3 ATI Radeon X800 XL PCI Express x16 Video Card

1GB (1024MB) DDR2 Memory at 533MHz

Integrated 7.1 sound

With the new 945P chipset, I can always upgrade to a dual core later on... I'll probably also buy a soundblaster once it gets here.. hafta see how the 7.1 is.

My previous system is in my sig...

pretty nice upgrade, i woulda went with amd, but its your preference.

meh, I like AMD better but a decent system for a very decent price

Thanks guys oh yeah its got 2 dvd drives too. I like AMD as well but there were none in my price range and I didn't want to buy one used. You never know if some crazy overclocker did any damage until its too late.

Yeh I would never buy a second hand cpu unless I was pretty sure where it came from, like from a mate or something who I knew didn't mistreat it or overclock the guts out of it.

...I've a 925 board and the 7.1 out is great in my opinion. The 2MB cache will also make a noticeable difference.

The athlon 64 3000+ is 50 dollars cheaper than the 630

Yea, I would have went for a 3000+ over that 3.0ghz pentium

Only compared to other pentium 4's without it.

Yeah I think you should get the 3000+ instead, especially for games in which it will easily beat the P4 630.
