I just installed civ4 and it keeps saying i need the DVD in the drive, but it's in there.. boots up with the "play" screen and it says the DVD needs to be in the drive... any patches i need or anything?

I had 2 Cd's.....and I think they marked them wrong somehow, and I think then marking it wrong on the Cd's probably means theres something marked wrong on The DVD's aswell.

Bascially my Disk 1 says Disc1/Install yet Disc 2 says Disc2/Play yet Disc 2 is not the play disc Disc 1 is.
btw, you have a DVD drive for your computer right?

He wouldnt have been able to install it otherwise. You should probably get a virtual drive or something and have the disk on there. That way you never need the physical disk to play.

Yeah I agree with Krynn. If you actually have the disc there are work-arounds.

Also if any has a problem with their ATI card check out this story I found:

i've mounted it on alcohol 120 and same damn thing

Have you tried turning the dvd up-side-down in the dvd-rom? I had a cd wich didn't work and the solution was that it was bruned on the other side. Wierd, and very rare, but it worked for me once.

can't find that and honestly, I bought the rights to play the game.. they should give me those rights I bought for 49.99. Also, I never agreed to have the CD/DVD in my drive as I play it.... at least not when i actually purchased the game.

The disks are labeled wrong, the first one is the actual play disk. That's pretty sloppy, I really can't believe a professional company would make such a stupid mistake, but oh well. At least the game is good.
